Cameron Smith is beating corporate America at its own sport

Nothing beats a day out on the course with your crew. A day away from reality and all problems going on in one’s life. Golf is a game of mixed emotions. One hole you are in the worst mood of your life, and the next you are on cloud 9. 18 holes of boozing, competition, and gambling. A man’s dream.

The Open Championship took place in Scotland this weekend and was nothing short of exciting for golf fans. A lot of big names lead the pack and had a shot at taking home a win for the last major of the year. Rory Mcilroy went into Sunday with a 4 stroke lead. But as of late, Rory can’t close the door. Nothing worse than a man who can’t finish. Rory couldn’t get the putter going, while another individual was doing the complete opposite. There was one man who showed up Sunday in his absolute bag. Mullet blowing in the wind, stache that had heads turning, and a putter that had aim assist on. Cam Smith had a round of the ages. Finishing with 8 birdies on Sunday’s championship round and shot a 30 on the back nine. Taking home the hardware, Cam Smith shot 20 under par to break the course record. The man was on one.

Cameron Smith is having a year of a lifetime. Already making almost $10 Million this year in prize money. He has 3 first place finishes and other top finishes as well. This man is living the dream. Cam has a beautiful house in Florida right on the water, he has a few boats, and he plays corporate America’s favorite game while not dealing with corporate America itself. Doesn’t get much better than that.

Just like you and I, Cam Smith had a question in his press conference following Sunday’s major win, “How many beers can fit in this trophy.” Looks like that question will be answered shortly.
