Playoff Push

September 2nd, 2022

Wake me up when September Ends by Green Day is blasting on your commute in…The sun is already dipping out early…The nights have a windy chill to them…Summer is coming to its final hours people. The vibes are changing and changing fast. No more Summer Fridays is a shame, but Football Thursdays have officially entered the chat. Time to grind for Q3 and finish this second half of the corporate season strong.

The pressure of the second half of the season is starting to get to the team. It's the 3rd Quarter and everyone knows who has been all stars this year and who is tanking for a draft pick. We are 8 full months into the season and we have 4 months to play. It's crunch time. We have a good idea of the score and know if we are going to hit our goals and win this thing. Coach is on your ass about your performance. In the back of your mind you want to blame the summer vibes for your lack of effort, but really deep down you know that you are just tired and beat to shit. This corporate game we play is no joke. We trained all of our childhoods to play in the major leagues. It all started as a fry-cook, umpire, cashier, or a lifeguard. We were in the minors just trying to make a quick buck because your father told you to go get a job. But now we are in the Majors. We are playing for our lives. The bills, the bets, and the bars. You need to perform or life could get messy. You don’t want to get demoted to the minors.

It's time for a playoff push. Time to put your head down and get to work. You might be an underdog for hitting your quota, but have you ever seen movies like Rudy, The Miracle on Ice, or Rocky? Some of the greatest underdog stories to ever live, and you have the chance to join that list. It's the ones with the grit. The determination. The willpower. Time for the greatest comeback in corporate history.

Go out there and show your coach you are worth keeping around for another season. Go out there and show your GM you are worth signing the multi year contract. Go out and win this thing.

Shock the world.
