We’ll Get It Back, I Promise

Friyay is upon us.
Only a few more hours until we blow half of our paycheck on some stupid shit this weekend. Every week your hard earned paycheck finds its way going towards some drinks, some overpriced food, some parlays, and your girl's Amazon cart. But hey, it's all okay. This life of ours is a marathon. You’ll collect that same bag next week and find yourself saying the same thing next Sunday night. “How the f*** did I spend that much money this weekend? I have to do better.”
Growing up and growing old is all a part of the game. Bills, significant others, bad habits, and kids all will find their way into your pocket and slowly eat away like a termite infested house. Sooner or later that shit is coming down and it might come down with you in it. Saving is one of the toughest things to do in this world. We work all week and want to live these lavish lifestyles on the weekend. The eating out, the bar hopping, the rounds of golf, and the gambiling. These are all things we turn to to get our minds somewhat happy and busy so we forget about the bullshit we are about to dive into on Monday morning. It’s not like we get much help though either. Inflation is at an all time high and student loans from years past will haunt some until the grave. We try to act like we are savages and invest in what's hot. Crypto and the stock market mostly. Except in years like we are having, we are moving backwards. Spending more hard earned money that we might not see again. But hey, remember that time AMC took off last year. I bet your buddy at the office hasn’t let you forget about that one.
We can keep it short and sweet. Saving is big. It sets you up for your future and will allow you to be financially stable and free. But it's tough. We need to spend money to stay happy. To do the things we love. Life ain't cheap. If you want a smile on my face, you bet your ass a chunk of my check will be gone by Sunday evening.
We’ll get 'em next week
